Tara Hopkins

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Tara is an associate marriage and family therapist who helps clients gain insight and create more freedom in how they live and relate to others. She works primarily with high-functioning professionals who are curious about their inner worlds and ready to understand their patterns, improve relationships, and move toward greater clarity, meaning, and authenticity.

Tara’s approach is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, focusing on how unconscious beliefs and early experiences shape your current life. When helpful, she also integrates cognitive behavioral therapy for practical, skills-based support.

Before becoming a therapist, Tara earned a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from Wellesley College. This background gives her insight into the pressures high-achieving individuals face, including perfectionism, burnout, and the search for deeper meaning.

As a mixed-race person of Asian heritage, she also bring personal understanding to clients exploring identity, culture, and belonging.

She offers a warm, supportive space where we can explore your story and help you move toward a more aligned and fulfilling life. If you’re interested in working with Tara, we invite you to schedule a consultation.
